Dr. Abut Kebudi graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1981. He completed his specialty training in General Surgery at Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, Department of General Surgery in 1988, becoming a specialist in General Surgery.
He subsequently worked as a General Surgery Specialist at Şişli Etfal Training and Research Hospital. Between 1990-1992, he completed his military service as a Medical Second Lieutenant at Çorlu Military Hospital.
In 1992, he conducted studies in Laparoscopic Surgery and Oncological Surgery (with a focus on breast cancer) at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He also worked on laparoscopic surgery and breast surgery at Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, while participating in the Surgical Gastroenterology Endoscopy Training Course, where he earned his certification.
Dr. Abut Kebudi became an Associate Professor in General Surgery in 1998 and was promoted to Professor in 2004. He holds a sub-specialty in Surgical Oncology and certifications including the European Breast Center (Düsseldorf) Oncoplastic Breast Surgery Certificate and the European Board of Surgery Certificate.
Between 2004-2016, Dr. Kebudi served as a professor at Maltepe University Faculty of Medicine, where he held various administrative positions, including Head of the Department of General Surgery, Head of the Division of Surgical Sciences, Faculty Board Member, Faculty Administrative Board Member, Vice Dean, and Director of the Health Law Center (SAHUMER). He is currently a faculty member in the Department of General Surgery and Head of the Breast Center at Okan University Faculty of Medicine.
Dr. Abut Kebudi specializes in General Surgery, Breast Surgery, Endocrine Surgery, and particularly Surgical Oncology, with extensive research and clinical practice. He has published approximately 250 scientific articles in national and international journals and presented at scientific congresses.
In 2018, the European Breast Surgery Executive Committee awarded him the Honorary Breast Surgery Diploma for his contributions to the field.

Dr. Kebudi is a founding member of the Marmara Anatolian Side Breast Diseases Continuous Education Meetings (MAYMET) platform, which organizes regular regional monthly meetings and an annual breast cancer meeting in collaboration with the European Society of Oncology (ESO). He is also a founding member and vice president of SENATÜRK (Senology Academy of Turkey), which conducts national and international studies on breast diseases and surgery. Additionally, he is part of the scientific and organizing committees for the annual International Reconstructive Breast Surgery (IREBS) course, conducted with international faculty.
Dr. Abut Kebudi currently serves as the President of the Breast Surgery Association.
He is married and has two children.
